A continuation of images of an old piece of industrial machinery? that sits on the bank of the Schuylkill River, near Valley Forge National Park; probably washed down the river during a flood.
I seem to be drawn to this subject, in no small part due to the textures of the rust and the shadows created by the rivets. This series starts where the previous series left off, with layered images that bring out the colors and textures of the rust on the exterior of the subject matter. Some images that are combinations of these results are also shown. Three of the images then involve changing the color of some of the image. The last images in this series are multi-layered compositions of the interior of the subject matter. Two of these last images also include one of the exterior compositions as one of their layers.
These images are available as 20"x30", 24"x36" and 36"x54" Fine Art Prints in custom handmade frames or as Gallery Wrapped Canvases in 24"x39" or 39"x61".
